The Haj Pilgrims are coming back

Fikah chatting
Adeq and Adul are also on-line
Today, 25/12/07, the first batch of Haj Pilgrim will touch down at the Brunei international Airport. I couldn't wait for my parents and families to return. Theirs' will be on the 31/12/07 at 2pm.

Though the school will be re-opened on the 2/01/08, I am not looking forward to it. My niece, Adeq felt the same way toooooo . We are waiting for their return....

For Adeq, the first few days when her parents left for Haj, her days were gloomy but once the wireless has been installed at their home, see how they have enjoyed and make full use of it...

Happy be late Aidil Adha..... Tue 25-Dec-2007 06:56

The Sacrifice Feast on 22nd. December, 2007

Our group of 7 people

Last Saturday, 22/12/07, I have joined several of my colleagues in the Sacrifice Feast (Korban Sunat) which was hosted by my friend, Cikgu Hjh Saliah Bungsu in Kg. Lumut. A total of three buffaloes have been slaughtered and we were giving a hand in cutting and distributing the meat. I also brought my three kids to see the event and my boy is the photographer who snap all these shots. A good thing to see when people still do this "Gotong-royong". I hope i still can have the chance to this again next year.

Well..., I think Ammar has a hidden talent in photography, just like the father. I shared with you few shots which he has captured before.

This time we have a barbeque, cooked my beloved hubby and several helpers . Beside the kids creating their own beach games, another adventurous activity has been ventured that is the jeepy-bumpy ride.
I dont dare to join as I am pregnant now . But the kids really enjoyed it and the adult tooo. See my sister who has try to drive the jeep. Btw, the jeep belong to my bro.

Unfortunately, the weather seems to be jealous of our fun. We have to go back before 4.30pm as it was going to rain and in the distant, I can see the formation of cyclone out in the sea.

yesyes we also play the JONGKANG JONGKIT!!! haha, eh lurus ka ejaan ku a. huhu Tue 25-Dec-2007 07:09

Capi-capi shots

Ammar's wink will attract girls...
E'an has the same wink too
How about Adul?
View all 7 photos...
I like to see these shots, though capi-capi but there are resemblances and you can guess where they get it from? Can it be genetic?

When the kids do it, they looked so cute but when it come to the older generation??????

Sorry, honey-bunny......

Hari Raya Korban: Preparations

View all 10 photos...
We have celebrated the Hari Raya Aidil Adha with Sembahyang Maghrib Berjemaah and Sembahyang Hajat and later, with simple refreshment. Our menu for the night were Ayam masak Kunyit, Ikan Salai, Sayur Kacang panjang, ulam-ulaman and several fruits untk pencuci mulut. We didn't invite many people, only close aunties and cousins.
Who were the cook? The real cook was my si-in-law, Masnahnorwati. She is really good though she is very much younger than me. We only helped with the preparations. While we did our course, the kids were busy cycling including Ammar. Unfortunately, Syukri has injured his ankle while cyling with his father.

The day after the Hari Raya korban, Awang has tested his cooking talent by preparing the Daging masak Kicap, which I think must have very tasty as Fikah has her plated filled full with rice.

yeayea thanks 4 masukkan my picture yg terok lagi bida. haha i'm the cook? haha well. salute 4 me please nway, we are so bored here. wish mum n dad ada. hehe. btw CORRECTION arah picture masakan ngangah ah. nt ayan lah, but daging. hehe. Sat 22-Dec-2007 09:58

I missed my parents....

During the Doa Wida'
Adeq and Erra (the day their parents left for Haj)
My parents and other family members went for Haj on the 1st of December, 2007 (Saturday). So it is about nine days already I was left alone to take of the house and my own family. Oh.. how tiring it is being a fulltime housewife. This make me even considerate with my maid. If I have to choose being a fully housewife or career woman, definitely i choose the later. Maybe i am selfish, but I did not neglect my kids so far though I have a profession to keep. One thing i could not stand is the stress and tension.
Luckily, my other sister from Bandar helped with the looking after of my first sis's kids and their home. So I am not divided between here and there. Well..., though my parents are not here, I did my best to be the head of the family. And I did not miss to bring my kids to enjoy their school's holidays as well. So, what have we done....?

Yesterday we went for a picnic at Sg. liang beach. As usual, they really liked the beach. Even my youngest son, Adam Naseem has also enjoyed the beach.

Later I brought them to Tutong. My first attention is to visit my auntie who was admitted to Hospital since Hari Raya. I really pitied her. Within one month time, she has transformed from well-looked to very sick -looked. Part of me was really crying when I saw her cos she remind me of my mum (she is my mum.s sister). She did not talk much and could not lie down properly because that position make her difficult to breathe. The only position she is comfortable with is by laying down her head on top of pillows stacked in front of her. She was looked after by her kids, by turn. Lucky she has eleven kids to rely on.

After the visit, we went to the Jollibbee in Tutong since that is Aish's favourite fast food. Actually she is after the gravy but unfortunately, the gravy "habis". Kesian Aisha..... We went to buy several groceries at the Hua Ho and later we stopped at the $1.80 shop to buy their pencil-case and art block. At least that is something to make their life happy....

What to do next?...
To get ready with the kids' school preparation.
Aisha is going up to Darjah 2 and she is going to Religious School in the afternoon.
Ammar and E'an will be registered to Chung Lian School.
Basically, Aisha has prepared earlier and its only Ammar and E'an with no preparation yet.

Nowadays, children as young as 5 years old are having their graduation day too. Remembering my times, if you dont get to the university, there's no way you will be graduated.
Graduation day is the day when everyone around you felt very happy and proud of you. You yourself were also proud. I remember when I was graduated in 1996 from UBD, the two persons that were with me, to see me on the stage, were my beloved parents. I remember my mother were complaining about the cold inside the hall since she could not stand it. However, she was there despite of the cold. My father didnot talk much about it but i know you were also proud. Thank you ma' and thank you pa'.
Though both of you did not say much about education, I know you care for us to get it. Your silence give us hidden strength and motivation towards our better future.

CONGRATULATION TO AMMAR!! Tue 18-Dec-2007 03:02

When we have free time we always bring our kids out, sometimes to the beach or if the financial is promising, sometimes we go to watch movies in the cinema. This is what the kids like especially the beach. We will swim and sometimes my hubby will catch fish using the net.
